On Saturday 11th November, twelve dads descended upon London's finest pubs to get together, have a little drink (or six) and chat serious dad stuff on our DADS NIGHT OUT!

Or maybe we just got a little drunk, ate burgers and talked Instagram...

We needed this. After months of commenting on the pictures and seeing our lives through little squares on our phones, it was so good to meet the people behind the filters and get to know the guys personally. I think it's essential for dads, either new or a few years in the parenting game, to get together and have that support from like minded men. We see the ladies out there with their mama friends and it's amazing! That support and camaraderie is fantastic. Us dads want in on that! So I am so pleased that Giles from YOUTHEDADDY pulled this event out of the bag (not to mention managing to sort the BEST party bags!) and allowed us to let our (receding) hair down.

Answers on a postcard for what on earth they are both intently staring at because I haven't a clue. Kids can be creepy sometimes seeing things that aren't there etc, according to my Mum I freaked her out once when I was ill and hallucinating saying there was a man in the corner laughing at me when there was no one there (kids outside laughing apparently). Trying to work out who would be more freaked out in that instance me or @shallinlovedelight 🤔 anyway after an eventful bedtime facetime with the kids I'm nearly home to help carve pumpkins for them to see in the morning. Happy Halloween Eve 😀

Tomorrow me and these two monkeys are heading off for a little one day holiday in the sunshine hot spot that is Wales. We've had enough of the Manchester rain and fancy some of that Welsh magic. In doing so we are leaving behind @mother_freckle who is the glue that keeps the family together. Chances are therefore that things will fall a part quite quickly when it's just us 3. There are obstacles everywhere that we shall have to leap over in order for a smooth ride. First off the ride it's self which is 3 hours. Should be fun. Me and two kids for 3 hours in a car with no eacape. But the biggest barrier to success will be the nightime. Flo, I envisage should be pretty predictable. She will take hours to fall asleep. She will then wake up at the crack of dawn. She may also cheekily wake up in the middle of the night. I am prepared for her. Edith on the other hand quite frankly terrifies me. For she may or may not go to sleep easily. I know she will wake at regular intervals and she will demand moo moo. Unfortunately I am not blessed with a lactating pair of bussoms. Will she therefore accept milk from a bottle? Will she simply return to sleep with cuddles? Will she just scream like buggery and leaving me rocking in a corner, a crying exhausted mess? I don't know about you but I am excited to find out 🙄

Dad Date, Man Crush, Fatherhood - On Saturday I met up with some awsome @instagram dads. It was the second 'arranged' get together and our pack had doubled in size, along with our guts, beer intake and actual @youthedaddy organised #goodybags - what amazing bunch, dads that do - some of us had a small business, some wrote blogs, a couple new to insta and ALL nailing it being a Dad. Adventure time - It was one of those days where we laughed and cried, ran and strolled, ate loads for lunch and passed on dinner. Starting in the city and then ending up at the beach kite surfing was a proper rollercoaster, we are living for our weekends and trying to make the most of every moment we have. At this point e was over it... massively 🙊🙉🙈 Sure we spend to much time in coffee shops but the great outdoors is beautiful, why do we waste so much time in front of the TV??
