REVIEW: JORD WOOD WATCHES
Recently the lovely people at JORD watches reached out to me asking if i wanted to review a watch from the FRANKIE range. Needless to say I was of course up for it!
I have always loved watches. From the days of D&G to the gold Michael Kors (they were good a few years ago when i thought i was a Kardashian). Now being 32 and feeling a lot more comfortable in the classics, I feel much more stylish with a Daniel Wellington (and now add JORD to that list) on my wrist.
Firstly for me, when i purchase this type of thing, i'm not just buying the product. I'm buying into the brand and the experience. The website is so easy to use and mobile friendly showing you the selections of men's and ladies watches with ease. But that's just the shop window. Presentation goes a long way, especially if it's a gift. These watches are handmade from wood, and they come in a box that is hand-crafted. I know it sounds crazy, but it smells so good. Real wood. It has a magnetised lid and a drawer underneath. It's all about these little touches (and FYI my toddler will be obsessed with this box...).
Now to the inside of the box... Sitting wrapped around a jute style fabric pillow, the watch itself is so lightweight. I've had heavy watches before, but this feels really nice and comfortable to wear and this particular watch (FRANKIE- Koa and Ash) goes with everything. I'm at a desk all day and i didn't even know i was wearing it. They do lots of different face shapes to suit all styles and tastes. What i really like is the metal clasp. This adds a little touch of luxury to what feels like an organic, cool watch.
Christmas will be here before you know it and if you are stuck on ideas of what to gift your significant other/dad/grandad or even a friend (if you're generous like that!) you can enter this competition to win a massive $75 OFF a JORD watch. And just for entering you will automatically receive an e-voucher for $20 OFF to use in their online store. This is only open to readers of my blog, so enter here! (The competition closes on 27/11/2016)
